This Privacy Policy describes how LinksVault ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Comp Edge Solutions, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the LinksVault website at linksvault.us and the web application at app.linksvault.us.

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Content you create. We store the notes and links you save, including URLs, auto-generated titles, and thumbnail images. This is the core data of the service.
Usage data. We log the date and time of your last login. We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, session duration, and general device/browser information. This data does not identify you personally.
Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. Google Analytics also sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the app require them to function.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment details. Stripe provides us a customer ID and subscription status. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

When LinksVault fetches thumbnail images for links you save, it makes server-side requests to YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Subsplash, and other websites. No personal information is transmitted during these requests.
Your data is stored on a DigitalOcean server located in the United States. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Database access is restricted to application-level credentials with limited permissions.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and content are removed from our active database. Backups may retain data for a short period after deletion before being overwritten.
You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time from within the app. To request complete data deletion or to ask questions about your data, contact us using the information below. We will respond within 30 days.
LinksVault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
